I read “Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table” last month and loved it! This month, I enjoyed a new devotional (a companion book) by Louie Giglio called “At the Table with Jesus!”
About the Book
Publisher: Thomas Nelson (March 29, 2022)
Paperback: 240 pages
At the Table with Jesus invites readers to sixty-six days of rich engagements with the Good Shepherd, providing deeper truths, power, and connection to walk through life’s troubles.
Through practical daily devotions, At the Table with Jesus invites readers to sit at the table with the Good Shepherd, building a habit of living life with him. The journey starts in Psalm 23 but takes the reader throughout all of Scripture to build a stronger relationship with the God of the universe.
“You’ve listened to the Enemy long enough. You’ve listened to the culture long enough. You’ve listened to the news media and the entertainment media and social media long enough. It’s time to sit down at the table with Christ and fortify your faith with truth. And it’s time to take that next step toward your life you were always created to live.”Louie Giglio
You can’t help but look at the world today and see all the darkness. I’m so grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ – the World’s Light! Jesus invites us to His table – of abundance, peace, and protection – where we can turn our attention from the enemy’s voice and sharpen our ears towards the Good Shephard. There is nothing more helpful in this life than a thriving relationship with Him. This is why I loved this devotional! It explores the eleven foundational truths about who Jesus is, and the response questions at the end of every day are thought-provoking and something to ponder as you spend time in prayer. You can trust Him, He is good, and He alone has our best interest. I highly recommend this daily devotional and believe it will help you live more confidently and with more clarity in who God is, who you are as a disciple, and how you can lean into your strong tower when life seems shaky and unsure.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil my cup overflows.Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.Psalm 23: 5-6
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
