Bring the spa home with Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Basil Liquid Hand Soap & Lotion

“The best tip we have for Hand Lotion is simply this– use it!  Hands spend so much of the day hard at work: typing,  driving,  cooking,  leading little ones across the street.   Give them the break they deserve with this moisturizing formula.”

I couldn’t have said it better myself! This was the quote on the lotion bottle of Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Hand Lotion. I know as a single mom I can become do stess doing the simplest of everyday chores… and my hands and mind take a beating!!

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day has come up with a fabulous new scent to help just that; Basil – it is said that basil can help revive the senses, clear the head, and calm the nerves!.. Just what this mom needs!

The Basil Collection, like all of the Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day lines, uses only plant derived ingredients and essential oils. There are no harmful bleaches, ammonias, petroleum distillates, parabens, phosphates, or phthalates.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Liquid Hand Soap contains a special recipe of aloe vera gel, olive oil and a unique blend of natural essential oils to create a hard working, non-drying, yet softening cleaner for busy hands.

The lotion contains a special recipe of shea butter, almond oil, aloe vera, and a unique blend of natural essential oils that leaves the hands super soft and moisturized.

The smells lasts a really long time… which is awesome because it really does help relax me. It’s like a personal spa in a bottle!

I can’t wait for you all to try it.

My Book Review of “Good Night, Baby Animals You’ve Had a Busy Day”

Reading is something my family enjoys doing.  It gives us quality time together as a family, and helps us wind down at the ends of the day.  We are always looking for new books to add to our library!  Wee are so excited to share with you this new book that we recently added called Good Night, Baby Animals You’ve Had a Busy Day by Karen Winnick

We absolutely LOVE IT!

If yoy have children that are animal lovers like mine, you will fall in love with this charming book.  It is filled with six stories of adventurous animals who end up snuggled in for the night.

Synopsis:

Meet six wild baby animals in this read-aloud storybook collection.  Playful tigers, elephants, giraffes, rhinoceroses, pandas, and gorillas love to explore their natural habitats.  But when the dashing,  splashing, munching, and crunching are done, it’s time for sleep.  After all, every baby animal needs to rest!

With its depiction of true-to-life animal behavior, this treasury of original stories is perfect for sharing with any toddler who is (almost) ready to say goodnight.

My Book Review:

My favorite thing about Good Night, Baby Animals You’ve Had a Busy Day by Karen Winnick is the use of onomatopoeia; which is the formation of words from a sound associated with the name (eg, crunch, splash, munch).  The sing – song melodic cadence coupled with action words kept my daughters very entertained the whole time I read the book.  Infact, they never let me read just one, it has to be ALL six! … Yes,  it is that good!

The illustrations by Laura Watkins, are absolutely gorgeous!  Her soft beautiful animals coupled with the sweetness of the story will keep your child engaged and relaxed.

If your toddler is as wild as mine, they will related to this book.   All the animals have  an adventurous day, then snuggle in for the night with their mama.

At the end of the book there are interesting facts about the animal featured in the book.  I overheard my oldest daughter Allie,  sharing her new learned facts with her friends at daycare.

Kids Book Review:

Allie (5 years old):  She loved the baby tigers.   She loved the fact that they played and snuggled with mom.   She loved the fact that they drink milk before they eat meat.

Cora (4 years old):  She loved baby giraffe.   She thought he was so cute.   I think she liked that he ” just wasn’t talk enough”.

Review of etsy shop HeartNSoulbyUS

I recently won a twitter RT competition from HeartNSoulbyUS, an etsy store. My family loved the products so much, we wanted to write a review.

My girls favorite item from the giveaway were the bath bombs.  We received a lavender one which was great for relaxing and calming the kids down before bed.  They loved how the bath bomb fizzed and created color in the bath.  It was a huge hit.

We took a look at the etsy shop,  and here are a few of our favorite bath bombs.

The girls picked this one as a favorire because it reminds them of Rainbow Dash!!  It is so colorful and fun.

My girls love shopkins, so this was a favorite when they saw these.

Who doesn’t love a suprise!? .. Just pop these in your kids bath… and tadda it fizzes into a NEW bath toy!  Suprise!!!!

One of my personal favorites from the giveaway was the sugar scrub.  I loved it because it exfoliates your skin gently, while moisturizing it with oils.  My skin was smiling after I used this product.
