Welcome to Day 6 of the Summer 30 Day Organization Challenge! Today we will be focusing on decluttering the living room. We know that the living room is one of the most used spaces in your home, and it can easily become a catch-all for clutter. But don’t worry, we have some steps and tips and tricks to help you declutter this space!
Step 1: Start by removing everything from the living room that doesn’t belong there. This includes any items that have been left out of place, such as toys, books, and dishes.
Step 2: Take a look at your furniture and decide if any pieces are no longer serving a purpose or are taking up too much space. Consider donating or selling items that you no longer need.
Step 3: Look at your shelves and surfaces and decide what items can be removed or stored elsewhere. Too many decorative items can make a space look cluttered, so consider keeping only a few key pieces that you truly love.
Tip: Use storage baskets and bins to help keep items organized. These can be used to store toys, books, and other small items that tend to accumulate in the living room.
Trick: Use a tray to corral items on your coffee table. This will help keep things from spreading out and taking up too much space.
Don’t forget to enter the $75 Amazon gift card giveaway and share a photo of your newly decluttered living room on social media!
We hope these tips and tricks help you declutter your living room and create a more organized and peaceful space. Keep up the great work, and we’ll see you tomorrow for Day 7 of the Summer 30 Day Organization Challenge!
I took your advice to declutter and we actually had very little in that room, however, it prompted me to rearrange the furniture which led to wall washing and curtain washing. It feels so clean in there now.
