Today, I will share how I remove my past triggers and toxic thoughts by renewing my mind DAILY. I identify the lie with God’s help, renounce the lie, and replace the lie with the truth in God’s Word. This isn’t a one-time thing, but it is something that I continually do when the thoughts and triggers come to the surface.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
Simply stated, renewing your mind, according to Romans 12:2, means interpreting life through the lens of God’s Word rather than through the lens of your experience, woundedness, trauma, preferences, or the opinions of others. Below are a few examples of how to do this.
💀 Lie: “You are alone.”
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
