Lathan Warlick and Drew Baldridge Team Up with a Touching Remix That Will Remind You That You ARE Always Somebody’s Daughter!

The holidays are the time of the year when my children and I struggle with the word “father” for various reasons. We have to replace our negative thoughts and feelings with God’s promises and find comfort in the Father God’s arms.

I am a fan of Lathan Warlick and heard a remix he did of “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” on Tiktok in October. I was excited to learn recently that Drew Baldridge and Lathan got together and made an official remix to the song because, previously, the song always brought up bad memories and feelings for me. This new version reminds me why I fell in love with Jesus … because He loved me before I could love myself.

“We love because He first loved us.”

1 John 4:19

Did you know God is identified as our Father 264 times in the Bible?

The word “father” conjures up many different images for people. For some, “father” is associated with warm memories and laughter; for others, it’s feelings of absence, rejection, abuse, and/or abandonment for various reasons. This is why it’s so important to understand that God is not only our Father, but He is a GOOD FATHER.

Many women struggle with the word “Father,” causing them to search for “something” worthy of the “God-Sized” hole in their hearts that only He can fill. It has always been the Father God’s love for me that I can count on, and it has given me strength to face my fears as He fought my battles, gave me strength, held my hand, and comforted and carried me through it all when no one else could.

Have a listen to the new remix below (with headphones), and remember that YOU ARE LOVED and ALWAYS somebody’s daughter. 👑 This is a message that I think all little girls should hear, so share it with all your loved ones!

You are loved by someone that loved you first!

During prayer a few years ago, the Lord gave me a vision where He placed a ruby in the palm of my hand. This song reminds me of that vision, and I wanted to share some Bible verses that the Lord showed me during that time of my life.

See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are ever before me.

Isaiah 49:16

What does it mean that your walls are ever before Him? It means that He won’t forget you. That He is committed to you. That you have “walls of protection” from enemies of God and yourself. God never stops thinking of you and how to do you GOOD.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Psalms 139:17-18

She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.

Proverbs 3:15

Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Psalm 23:6

If you’ve been abuse, neglected, abandoned, or just an orphan from the men in your life … I know what that feels like! This is my reminder for you to straighten your crown today! Rediscover that you are seen, you matter, and the King delights in you! You are HIS DAUGHTER, and He loves you VERY MUCH!
