Equip yourself with the skills necessary to help guide your child as they grow to be all God has created them to be. As the scripture teaches, `Train up a child in the way he should go: and he will not depart from it when he is old. ‘(Prov. 22:6.). “Sharing God’s Big Love with Little Lives” shares how to better communicate with little ones about knowing, loving, and praising God. Jean’s book offers biblical, sociological, and scientific research into parenting styles, so you know what is effective and why. This audiobook is the perfect spiritual toolkit for parents, grandparents & caregivers to refer to again and again!
This book can help you transform the “daily” challenges of parenting into a joy-filled “journey.”
Using scripture, humorous anecdotes, and insightful research, this book offers fresh ideas and enthusiastic encouragement to help you guide your little ones. I loved the storytelling and humorous anecdotes in this audiobook. I was instantly hooked when Jean told a personal story that reminded me of when I, a frazzled mom prayed a desperate prayer to the Lord. I went as low as I could go, and gave my children to God! I realized the huge responsibility on my shoulders and knew I desperately needed His help!
“I used to think that God’s gifts were on shelves one above the other and that the taller we grew in Christian character, the more easily we should reach them. I find now that God’s gifts are on shelves one beneath the other and that is not a question of growing taller, but of stooping lower and that we have to go down, always down to get His best ones.”
F.B. Meyer

When my children were toddlers, I had to leave an abusive relationship. This abuse left me with many scars and emotional baggage that I had to overcome while worrying about giving my children everything they deserved in this world from me. I remember praying to the Lord about how I was unable to “parent” correctly and couldn’t be what they needed me to be. I felt overwhelmed and was scared to do it alone. I was worried that my scars would affect them or damage them somehow. I woke up from a dream with the song “Cats in the Cradle” in it and crying to God, “please, Lord, don’t let this be me!” That’s when the Lord told me I would start blogging, and this is what I would blog about, intentional parenting. He told me I had everything I needed, and I wasn’t alone because He was there to help me. He comforted me and told me as He works on my heart, I would also be planting those seeds in my children’s hearts. He told me I didn’t have to worry about the how or the why of it all, but He would come alongside me as I build my relationship with Him, and step by step He’d walk with me and guide me through it all. I plant the seeds, but He makes them grow.
This is why I’m in love with this audiobook, as it’s everything that’s been on my heart as a parent! I’m so excited to share this resource (biblical guide) with young parents and those teaching young children! I believe this book will empower, encourage and guide you on how to share God’s BIG love with little ones.
and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:15
When we pour the word of God into the lives of our little ones through play, stories, and singing, we are planting seeds into our children’s hearts and minds because the Word of God is alive. This book has so many wonderful ideas and will pump you up with encouragement to praise the Lord with your children. I’ve seen how powerful praising the Lord can be with my children. It was healing and such an encouragement to praise the Lord not only for myself, but I found that my toddlers enjoyed doing it with me. I’ve included a few videos of my toddlers singing praise for fun. Video 1, Video 2.
PRAISE!
Jean uses PRAISE! as an acronym to communicate seven challenging truths…
- P – We are Placed and Privileged to Parent.
- R – We have a Rare window of opportunity.
- A – Through prayer, we have an All-Access pass to God’s riches.
- I – The Infancy of our kids calls us to start early.
- S – Seven ways to practice praise.
- E – Approach the kids under our care with Enthusiastic Enjoyment!
- ! – Accept the Imperative of the exclamation mark and Do It!
One of the most eye-opening statements shared in this book was about a church sign that Jean saw while she was traveling. It basically stated, “whoever wants the next generation will get them.” This is a powerful statement that we can change the lives of our children and affect future generations for the better if we start raising our children with the message of the Gospel.
I appreciated that this book is available on audiobook because, let’s be honest, as moms, we don’t often have time to sit and read a book. I love multi-tasking with a good audiobook, and Jean makes it easy to listen to this one. She is enthusiastic and will make you laugh, encourage you through relatable stories, and pumps you up on your parenting journey with the Lord!
