The word “father” conjures up different images for people. For some, “father” is associated with warm memories and laughter; for others, absence or rejection. This is why it’s so important to understand that God is not only our Father, but He is a good Father.
The song has been a timely reminder for my family to reflect on our beautiful relationship with a loving father. We’ve been feeling the negative feelings of absence and rejection of the word “father” in our family lately, and it is such a comfort to remember that we have a good father who cares, calls us his beloved, and loves us for just being us.
We’ve faced many difficulties and challenges as a family, but in the end, it has always been the Father’s love that we can count on and gives us the strength to fight and face our fears!
This song is an excellent reminder that we all need this week!
