The Call of the Shofar

There is power in the sound of the Shofar. It’s the call to Return, Renew, Restore, Resurrect.

Journey Deeper into the Scriptures with Rabbi Jason Sobel in preparation for Rosh Hashanah 5782 in the video below. It’s not just another day on the calendar – it’s an “appointed time” with the Lord that He sets aside through his Word.

5782 in Hebrew means open the eyes

The Original Sin

I don’t agree with the video down below, and it reminded me about my post from yesterday – “JESUS – A PRECIOUS DROP OF HONEY

We are all sinners, and need a Savior. We are powerless to change, and can’t help ourselves. We need Jesus who is higher, wiser, and stronger than the influences that dominate our lives. Isaiah 43:11 states “I am the Lord, and besides me there is no other Savior!”

Yom Kippur – (Jesus Second Coming)

This year Yom Kippur is September 15,16

Yom Kippur, also known as the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day of the year in Judaism. Its central themes are atonement and repentance. Jews traditionally observe this holy day with a day-long fast and intensive prayer, often spending most of the day in synagogue services.

Him Whom They Have Pierced – (Zechariah 12:10–14)

10 “And zI will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and zpleas for mercy, so that, awhen they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, bthey shall mourn for him, cas one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn. 11 oOn that day dthe mourning in Jerusalem will be as great eas the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land shall mourn, feach family1 by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of gNathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of hthe Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.

Jesus is our high priest!

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:14-16

Jesus is King!!

Feast of Tabernacles

This year is September 20-27

The Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot (or Feast of Booths) is a week-long fall festival commemorating the 40-year journey of the Israelites in the wilderness.

This joyous celebration is a reminder of God’s deliverance, protection, provision, and faithfulness.

During the Feast of Tabernacles in the Bible, two important ceremonies took place. The Hebrew people carried torches around the temple, illuminating bright candelabrum along the walls of the temple to demonstrate that the Messiah would be a light to the Gentiles. Also, the priest drew water from the pool of Siloam and carried it to the temple where it was poured into a silver basin beside the altar.

If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” (John 7:37-38, NIV)

I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12, NIV)

Sukkot pointed to the truth that Israel’s life, and our lives too, rest on the redemption which is in Jesus Christ and his forgiveness of sin.

The message of the Feast of Tabernacles is also about the future – the second coming of Messiah, which will be a joyous day for those who know Him. When the Messiah comes, He will collect the harvest for the Father’s Kingdom.

Isaiah Brings Hope: All Nations Are Invited to Join Gods Kingdom

“Since you are precious in my sight, since you are honored and I love you, I will give other people in your place and other nations in exchange for your life”

Isaiah 43:4

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. (Matthew 24:46)

Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready?

The Sound of Victory

In the posture of being seated in the Heavenly places with Christ Jesus, there is the authority to declare Life, Mercy, Supernatural Protection and Provision for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. We have faith to declare together that those who are persecuting the church today will also experience an encounter with Jesus that brings about their conversion— and the scales will come off their eyes as He encountered Saul on the way to Damascus. [Sauls become Paul and are saved by grace]. With the sound of victory, we will blow the trumpet!

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
