Psalm 91:11-12 was the first verse in this children’s book.

“God has sent his Angels to watch over us. They will be with us wherever we go. They will catch us with their hands and we won’t get hurt if we hit our foot on a stone.”

Psalm 91:11-12

Jesus taught us in the Garden when he was tempted that we shouldn’t test God just because we have angels. God has blessed us and surrounded us with guardian angels, and because of His love for us He will send them at the right time to keep us safe in Him.

I think there is a lot of misinformation about angels, and this is why I’m very cautious when I read anything about angels. I felt like this book did a good job showing how angels are here to do the Father’s work. I think it’s very important when we teach our children about angels, and that we use the Bible as a reference, so we are not deceived by the world. There is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2).

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven”

Matthew 18:10

Jesus affirmed with this bible verse that our angels are watching even the little ones (those of little faith). When they watch us, they always see the face of the Father in heaven. This verse reminds me of how much the Father loves us, and how he uses the angels to make sure that even the little ones will not parish or be separated from Him. He is such a good Father, and wants to save His precious children.

I really loved this picture in the book because when I’m singing in church I can often feel the presence of large angels singing with us.

I loved this picture of Ariel because it reminded me of something that happened to me when I was in my twenties. I was going through a rough time in my marriage and had turned to psychics and tarot cards for answers. I ended up overcome with demon attacks in my thoughts because of that and the stress. I was suicidal, and I spent a week not being able to sleep or eat because my mind wouldn’t let me. I tried reading my bible, but it seemed like it was in another language and I couldn’t understand it. I really felt like I was in a battle. One night an angel visited me when I was laying in bed. I didn’t see an angel, but remember hearing “you are not alone, I am the angel Ariel and I’m here to help you”. I remember smelling roses and checking the house for flowers afterwards. I didn’t know there was an angel named Ariel until I read this book with my girls, I had remembered the name because I thought about the Little Mermaid. It was a nice surprise when I read this book many years later that there is indeed an angel with the name Ariel. I was able to share my story with my girls.

I really enjoyed reading this book to the girls, and loved the opportunity it gave me to talk to them about angels. Even though this world is fallen, God loved us so much that He came down to save us from it, through Jesus. God doesn’t ignore our hurts in this world, but will use everything he has, including angels, to save us.
