Speak Blessings Over Your Children Each Night

LET GOD’S BLESSINGS SERVE AS A REMINDER OF HIS LOVE FOR YOUR CHILDREN.

I’ve started a new bedtime tradition in our house – wrapping them in a scriptural blessing each night.

Praying blessings over your children nurtures security, confidence, and hope for the future in their hearts and minds. It teaches them the value of prayer and scripture, and is an encouraging reminder of God’s love for them.

God instructed Moses in Numbers 6:24-26, to speak a blessing over the children of Israel. If God believed it was good for the children of Israel, it’s definitely good for your children too.

Praying blessings over your children at the end of the day reinforces not only your love, but God the Father’s love for them. And it’s a great tool to memorize scripture -we are literally planting seeds that will take root in their hearts and minds. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Praying scripture is the greatest offensive weapon we have against Satanโ€™s attacks on our children. Itโ€™s the greatest way to protect them.

Here are the some blessings that you can start speaking to your children each night:

โ€œ(Name of Child), May the Lord bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.โ€ Numbers 6:24-26

โ€œ(Name of Child), May the Lord keep you from all harm as you trust in Him. May He watch over your life, your coming and your going, both now and forevermore.โ€ Psalm 121:7-8

โ€œ(Name of Child), โ€œMay God make all grace abound to you, so that in all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.โ€ 2 Corinthians 9:8

โ€œ(Name of Child), May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

โ€œAre not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of God, the Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. (Name of child), you are precious and worth more than many sparrows. May you never be afraid. God will always care for you.โ€ Matthew 10:29-31
