Goulash Recipe

16 oz Cavatappi pasta
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cups beef broth
1 cup tomato sauce
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 – 1 tsp sugar
1 Tbsp fresh Italian parsley, chopped
Salt to taste


  • Cook the Cavatappi pasta according to the directions on the box, drain, and set aside.
  • Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until cooked. Add the onions, garlic, basil, paprika, oregano, and pepper. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and broth. Stir to combine and bring it to a simmer. Gently simmer for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.
  • Add the noodles. Add cheese if desired.
