MY REVIEW

I think that this book is a great resource for struggling parents who want to follow Biblical teachings. Hettie Brittz starts off the book by remembering some things that happened to her as a child, and not wanting to do what her mother did. As time went on, God touched her heart, and she wrote this book.

I love how this book compared children to different types of trees and plants as the common ground in growing to be strong in the Lord, bending but not breaking. The book is a great resource to discover how to use your children’s God-given personalities to guide them on their spiritual journeys and firmly establish their identity and purpose in Christ. It also helps you find the joy of parenting by a child’s natural bent and God’s supernatural wisdom!

Brittz explains how parents also grow and change and that … “sometimes we can do everything right and still have to look on as our children make poor choices. Like your own mistakes, a child’s serious blunder is not necessarily a sign of bad parenting.”

You should definitely check out this book, it will help you parent better from a place of understanding and love.
